11:30am START TODAY – THURSDAY, NOV 15, 2012
HONOLULU – (Thursday, November 15, 2012) — The REEF Hawaiian Pro will begin at Haleiwa Ali’i Beach Park today, scheduled for an 11:30am start. Even though waves are very small at this time, ocean buoys have been registering a solid increase in swell since midnight last night and those waves will soon be arriving to Oahu’s North Shore.
The REEF Hawaiian Pro the first jewel of the $1million VANS Triple Crown of Surfing hydrated by vitaminwater.
Among those surfers who will take to the water today are Cory Lopez (Florida); Tom Whitaker (AUS); Ian Walsh (HAW); and Caio Ibelli (BRZ).
Each of the three events of the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing has a two-week holding period within which to run, requiring just 3-4 days of excellent surf to be completed. To find out when the event is running, log on to:
